On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, host Pam Marvin invited back Dr. Miranda Walichowski for further conversations about the concept of root sin. Dr. Walichowski pointed people to Matt 4:3–11 and the three temptations that Jesus endured in the desert. Together they constitute the root sins of sensuality, vanity, and pride. They explained that conquering root sin depends significantly on what Pam would call good "human formation" and what Dr. Walichowski likened to "preparing for spiritual battle," i.e. hydration, proper nutrition, exercise, and sufficient sleep. Finally, both Pam and Dr. Walichowski highlighted imaginative or contemplative prayer methods as avenues for healing deep woundedness from past root sin.
