This week on RED-C Roundup our host Dr. Thaddeus Romansky visited with Michael Raia, founder and president of Studioio Liturgical Design and Consulting, and liturgical designer expert on sacred church architecture. Thaddeus and Michael first spoke about the Feast Day of the Dedication of St. John Lateran and it’s significance in the area of church architecture. This was followed by a discussion of Sacrosanctum Concilium and it’s guidelines on sacred art and architecture. The final points of discussion were on the sacred art and architecture of the building and design of the new St. Mary’s Catholic Church in College Station, just outside of the RED-C Catholic Radio studios.

Tom was in studio for this episode to talk about his endeavors and what brought him to our RED-C listening area. Tom also shared a little about the life of a Catholic apologist, and what his favorite aspect of this is. This week on RED-C Roundup our host Deacon Mike Beauvais visited with J. Budziszewski, professor of government and philosophy at the University of Texas, Austin, where he has taught since 1981. Professor Budziszewski specializes in ethics, political philosophy and the interaction of these two fields with religion and theology. Deacon Mike first spoke with Professor Budziszewski about his new book, How and How Not to be Happy, in which he draws on decades of study to dispel the myths and wishful thinking that blind people from uncovering lasting fulfillment. Deacon Mike‘s interview questions help J. Budziszewski explore his life history and his teaching experiences now, and how the listener can attain happiness—and just as importantly, how not to.

This week on RED-C Roundup our host Pam Marvin and guest cohost Robye Harvey visited with Immaculée Ilibagiza, author of multiple books and survivor of the Rwandan Holocaust. Pam and Robye spoke with Immaculée about her first book, Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust, and about the power of prayer and forgiveness. Specifically she mentions in this episode, “when you pray for your enemies, you rob them of their power!” Today, Immaculée is regarded as one of world's leading speakers on faith, hope and forgiveness. She has shared this universal message with world leaders, school children, multinational corporations, churches, and at events and conferences around the world.
