This week on RED-C Roundup our host Deacon Mike Beauvais visited with Fr. Timothy Vaverick, Pastor of St. Mary’s Church of the Assumption in West, Texas. Deacon Mike first spoke with Fr. Timothy about his call to the priesthood during his time in college as a Physics major at Texas State University. The remainder of the interview focused on Fr. Timothy’s newest book, As I Have Loved You: Rediscovering Our Salvation in Christ. In his book, Fr. Timothy Vaverek explores the core message of the gospel as salvation in Christ. Why did God become man? What does it mean to be saved? Fr. Timothy offers a biblical and Catholic response to these questions by illuminating the essential themes of the economy of salvation.

This week on RED-C Roundup our host Judy Comeaux visited with John Paci, Director of the CCCTX Bryan Office and with Brooke Swate, Director of Disaster Response for Catholic Charities of Central Texas. John and Brooke visited with Judy in this show about disaster preparedness and response, and how CCCTX is poised to help in response to disasters in Central Texas, and beyond. The guests also spoke about September being disaster preparedness month and what CCCTX has planned for this month. Future plans of Catholic Charities in general were discussed, as well as ways the listener can support the mission of CCCTX.

This week on RED-C Roundup our host Pam Marvin visited with Aine Fitzgerald, Campaign Director for 40 Days for Life in Waco, TX. Aine visited with Pam in this show about her reversion to the Faith and the beginnings of her involvement and leadership in the pro-life movement. Aine spoke about her moving from Ireland to Houston, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and finally to Waco Texas. Aine and Pam also spoke about her current leadership with 40 Days For Life in Central Texas and about the upcoming prayer and fasting campaign beginning on September 27th. Aine lives her life as a true disciple who cares about everyone involved in the abortion debate, including the baby, the mother, as well as the leadership on the pro-abortion side, including the abortionists!

This week on RED-C Roundup our host Pam Marvin visited with Brian Baudoin and Bryce Kennison from Ablaze Ministries to talk about youth ministry in today's society. Brian Baudoin serves as the Local Mission Coordinator for Ablaze in Bryan, and Bryce Kennison serves as an Ablaze Missionary at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bryan. All spoke about the tremendous need for evangelization, catechesis, and community that youth ministry provides for families and their children. The challenges of youth ministry in today's culture was discussed, and the triumphs of reaching youth in their environment and on a one-to-one basis was shared. Brian and Bryce also spoke about the multiple ministry programs that Ablaze is engaged in for youth, families and married couples, as well.

Adam and Thaddeus visited in this show about the beauty of the Eucharist, and the current years of Eucharistic Revival that we are in, both in our Austin Diocese, as well as in our United States. Also discussed in this episode were Eucharistic miracles and stories through the ages about how the Eucharist has sustained peoples and even entire nations through times of persecution and strife. Finally, Thaddeus and Adam visited about how we can grow in our faith and belief in the most Holy Eucharist.

Will shared about his experiences in college and his call to the seminary and subsequently, the priesthood. Next, Pam and Fr. Will spoke about the Eucharistic Revival taking place in the Austin Diocese and in the Catholic Church, worldwide. Both shared their thoughts and their heart in the Eucharist and what it means to them.

This week on RED-C Roundup our host Judy Comeaux visited with Dianna Jetter, Pastoral Associate at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in College Station and Karen Candelas, Gabriel Project Coordinator at Catholic Charities of Central Texas in Austin. Our guests spoke about a new Brazos Deanery-level project within the Austin Diocese of Walking With Moms and Dads in Need. The program is of tremendous support in the financial, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of mothers and fathers who are in need of such services. Dianna also spoke about the new Brazos Deanery website, bcsdeanery.org and the resources and information that can be found there, including the help that the Stephen Ministry offers. Karen also spoke about her work at CCCTX with the Gabriel Project and St. Gabriel’s Pregnancy and Parenting Program.
