This week on RED-C Roundup our host Thaddeus Romansky visited with Maria Sotolongo, Director of Development/Admission for St. Joseph Catholic School in Bryan, and Becky Chollett, Director of Enrollment Management and Communications for Bishop Louis Reicher Catholic School in Waco. The three visited in depth about the importance of a Catholic Education, starting first at home, and also at their two Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Austin. A general discussion was held about the values and benefits of a Catholic education at both schools. Special events and opportunities at both schools was also shared in this episode, especially in light of the upcoming Catholic Schools Week celebration.

Thaddeus and Kevin spoke in this episode about the life and teachings of Pope Benedict XVI. They began by pondering the essential encyclicals, writings, and homilies by Pope Benedict. They continued by recalling the multiple ways that Pope Benedict and his teachings impacted their personal journey of Faith. Kevin and Thaddeus also spent some time comparing the three potificates of Pope John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI, and Pope Francis. The final part of their discussion was on various aspects of the Faith, including sacraments, grace, living what the Church teaches, prayer, conversion, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and loving Christ with our whole heart, and Pope Benedict’s teaching and perspective on each.

This week on RED-C Roundup our host Dr. Thaddeus Romansky visited with Michael Raia, founder and president of Studioio Liturgical Design and Consulting, and liturgical designer expert on sacred church architecture. Thaddeus and Michael first spoke about the Feast Day of the Dedication of St. John Lateran and it’s significance in the area of church architecture. This was followed by a discussion of Sacrosanctum Concilium and it’s guidelines on sacred art and architecture. The final points of discussion were on the sacred art and architecture of the building and design of the new St. Mary’s Catholic Church in College Station, just outside of the RED-C Catholic Radio studios.
